Who runs this website

The website “Windtrim” (the “Game”) is run by Paweł Matuszak, Kórnicka 26, Poznań (the “operator”). The operator is the controller of the personal data described below. Contact: pmat.contact@gmail.com.

In short

The Game runs entirely in your browser. There are no user accounts, no cookies, no advertising and no tracking of individual people. Visit statistics are collected in aggregate, without identifying anyone, using Cloudflare Web Analytics and a simple visit counter by city (see below). Your data is not sold or shared.

Settings saved on your device

To remember your choices, the Game saves these settings in your browser’s local storage: language, sound volume, automatic graphics quality and interface size. They stay on your device and are never sent to the operator. They only keep the settings you chose, so no consent is required. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

The Game is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. When your browser loads the Game, it sends standard technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, the requested address, and browser and system type (user agent). Cloudflare processes this data on the operator’s behalf to deliver the Game and protect it from abuse and attacks, and may keep it in technical logs for a short time. The legal basis is the operator’s legitimate interest in running a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The operator does not use this data to identify you and does not combine it with other data.

Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To know how many people play and how fast the Game loads, the page loads a small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com). It sends Cloudflare the page address, the referring page, browser, system and device type, the approximate country derived from your IP address, and page-load times. The script does not use cookies or local storage, and Cloudflare states that it does not identify or track individual visitors. The operator sees only aggregated statistics. The legal basis is the operator’s legitimate interest in understanding how the Game is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time, for example by blocking scripts from cloudflareinsights.com in your browser (most ad blockers do this).

Visit counter by city

When the Game starts, the page sends one short request to the Game’s own server (/api/hit). Cloudflare derives the approximate country, region and city from your IP address, and only these three values, with the date and time, are saved in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. Your IP address and browser details are not saved, so an entry cannot be linked to you. The location is approximate and often shows your internet provider’s city instead of yours. Entries are deleted automatically after 3 months. The operator sees only the number of visits per place. The legal basis is the operator’s legitimate interest in knowing where the Game is played (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by blocking requests to /api/hit in your browser or by writing to the operator.

Transfers outside the EEA

Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. These transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, in which Cloudflare participates, and on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. More: Cloudflare privacy policy.

If you write to the operator

If you send an email, your address and message are used only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are kept as long as needed to handle the matter.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing and object to its processing. To use these rights, write to pmat.contact@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl), or the authority in your EU country of residence.

Sending technical data is necessary for any website to load; without it the Game cannot be shown. Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

Changes

A changed policy will be published on this page with a new date.

Terms of use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

  1. Service. The operator (Paweł Matuszak, Kórnicka 26, Poznań, pmat.contact@gmail.com) provides access to the Game – a sailing simulator that runs in a web browser – free of charge, by electronic means. No registration is needed.
  2. Agreement. By using the Game you accept these terms. The agreement starts when you open the Game and ends when you close it. You can stop using the Game at any time.
  3. Technical requirements. A device with internet access and an up-to-date browser with WebGL 2 support (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). A keyboard and mouse are recommended. On mobile devices the Game may work with limitations.
  4. Rules of use. Do not disrupt the Game, overload or attack the website, supply unlawful content, or use the Game in any way that breaks the law.
  5. Not a training tool. The Game is entertainment and a simplified simulation. It does not replace sailing training, real navigation or weather forecasts. Do not rely on it for decisions on the water.
  6. Availability and liability. The Game is provided “as is”. The operator may change, pause or end it at any time and does not guarantee that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damage resulting from use of the Game. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
  7. Copyright. The Game, including its code, 3D yacht model, graphics and texts, is protected by copyright © 2026 Paweł Matuszak. You may play it and share screenshots, videos and streams of your gameplay. Copying, publishing or selling the Game or any part of it without the operator’s permission is not allowed.
  8. Third-party software. The Game uses the three.js library under the MIT License (text below).
  9. Complaints. Report problems to pmat.contact@gmail.com: describe the problem and how to contact you. The operator replies within 14 days.
  10. Governing law. Polish law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
  11. Changes. Changed terms will be published on this page with a new date.

Aby pamiętać Twoje wybory, Gra zapisuje w pamięci lokalnej przeglądarki (localStorage): język, głośność, automatyczną jakość grafiki i rozmiar interfejsu.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

Grę dostarcza Cloudflare, Inc. Gdy przeglądarka wczytuje Grę, wysyła standardowe dane techniczne: adres IP, datę i godzinę żądania, adres żądanej strony oraz typ przeglądarki i systemu (user agent). Cloudflare przetwarza te dane w imieniu operatora, aby dostarczyć Grę i chronić ją przed nadużyciami i atakami, i może przez krótki czas przechowywać je w logach technicznych. Podstawą prawną jest prawnie uzasadniony interes operatora – prowadzenie działającej i bezpiecznej strony (art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO).

Statystyki odwiedzin (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO). Możesz w każdej chwili wnieść sprzeciw, np. blokując w przeglądarce skrypty z cloudflareinsights.com (robi to większość blokerów reklam).

6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO). Możesz w każdej chwili wnieść sprzeciw, blokując w przeglądarce zapytania do /api/hit lub pisząc do operatora.

Przekazywanie danych poza EOG

Kontakt e-mail

Jeśli napiszesz do operatora, Twój adres i wiadomość posłużą wyłącznie do odpowiedzi (art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO) i będą przechowywane tak długo, jak to potrzebne do załatwienia sprawy.

Twoje prawa
